Back in 1900, rich and middle class women used to wear frilly, puffed blouses , and fluted skirts. Also, Separates were popular, with skirts fitted over the hip and fluted towards the hem.

As for Men back then, they wore three-piece lounge suits with bowler or cloth caps. Jackets were narrow with small, high lapels.

As for poor families, they owned a very few everyday outfits and if they were lucky, some smarter clothes to wear to church or on special occasions.
